I started cooking as soon as I was tall enough to see over the stove.
However, I didn’t really get into cooking until I moved to Vancouver, BC, and home cooking wasn’t a subway ride away. My mom and I would bond over walkthroughs of all the traditional Indo-Caribbean dishes she made (and still makes) while I was growing up. It was a great way to keep in touch with my heritage.
I started this blog to share my love of cooking with my family and friends, both near and far. You’ll find some recipes here based on my roots but you can expect it will contain a little bit of everything – The Kitchen Singh, you might say.
